Description

Coral Drift is a 60x60cm original oil painting on high-quality linen.

I’ve always enjoyed painting horses, they are phenomenally difficult but so beautiful yet powerful and I think that’ why artists are often drawn to try and capture that on canvas.

This piece features a strong, expressive horse with a bold coral backdrop. The coral tone was inspired by a colour spotted in a small shop in Paris, near the Ponte Neuf, and brings a fresh, modern edge to the piece.

I’m thinking about doing more paintings like this exploring signature colour blocks with animal subjects. Here’s the first!

This piece comes unframed but has D rings and hanging cord attached ready to hang.
