Emberlaine

Description

Emberlaine is a beautiful stag 80x80cm, oil on linen.

I have always loved painting stags, and I particularly enjoy painting them on a natural linen canvas with the linen showing though making it the background. It gives the chance for the animal to shine out. This one has variegated gold leaf incorporated onto its antlers (* if your’e wandering what variegated leaf is, it’s got a slight patina to it. It blends the painting and is a little bit more subtle  than pure gold leaf. It has lovely amber and warm brown hues to it)

Such a pretty yet majestic painting.
