This painting came from a really quiet moment on safari — just us, the elephants, and the long grasses of the Masai Mara. Most jeeps had already headed back to camp, but we stayed, and the way the light cut through the heat created these brilliant contrasts and deep shadows. It was peaceful, powerful, and completely unforgettable.
