Let me tell you a bit about Tamasha
I’m lucky enough to have visited the Masai Mara in Kenya a couple of times and the camp that I stay at, Offbeat Mara is situated very near a pride of lines which bears its name the Offbeat pride. The Offbeat pride has been quite dominant in that area for sometime and has four beautiful males to its name and one of them is the inspiration for Tamasha. Tamasha is on the short list to be made into a print by my publishers but if you want the one and only original oil painting it’s sitting right here on my website.
This lion is probably my most colourful lion i’ve ever painted, with incredibly vibrant pigments set against a dark, grey black background. The colours are an exaggeration, however the first time I saw a lion in the wild I thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest. I have used these colours to give you the wow factor of a real lion. I want to take your breath away with this extra extraordinary work of art.
You don’t have to have been to Africa to absolutely love the look of this lion!
