This landscape came from thinking about the places that stay with you — the ones you don’t really mean to find, but do. Late afternoon light, wide-open skies, and those little pockets of peace.
It’s full of layers: some more obvious, others quietly sitting underneath. I have sketchbooks full of landscapes and flowers, from walks with Mr Bumbles my dog, and from days out with Phil my husband. and flicking through them, combined the views of fields from our garden led me to create “The fields we found”. This one’s about the watching the landscape come to life again in late spring, and about sharing a moment together, in a garden or on a walk, just pause and take it in.
