This seascape came from thinking about the places that stay with you — the ones you don’t really mean to find, but do. Late afternoon light, wide-open skies, and those little pockets of peace.
It’s full of layers: some more obvious, others quietly sitting underneath. I have sketchbooks full of landscapes , seacspaes and flowers, from walks with Mr Bumbles my dog, and from days out with Phil my husband. This one’s about the watching the waves together with a vision of stylised flowers and grasses that part creating an inviting pathway to the sea. Oil on linen 70x70cm
